Avoid This Doctor My mother has been a patient of Dr. Surapaneni for over three years and I have to say that she is a terrible doctor and has a very unprofessional staff. Very nice people I've been to see this physician quite a few times and have had nothing but the nicest visits. Front desk lady was nice as could be, and the doctor very attentive. Other reviews must be from ONE malingerer!
Ms. I was a patient for over five years. Went in for a complete check up before moving away from the area. I was scheduled for MRI's and mamogram. Received a call from her office telling me to consult a Neurosurgeon for a result in the MRI showing a lesion on my brain. She refused to speak with me on the phone to explain further. She refused to have my bp medication refilled, although it had been less than six months since I was in to see her. I am very disappointed in her.
Excellent doctor and service I got excellent care and so did my mother and husband. Dr. Surapaneni is an excellent doctor. Very caring and she told me there was nothing else she could do for my mother and referred her to an oncologist. She also referred my husband to a kidney specialist. She is very thorough in her examinations and asked all kinds of questions. I wouldn't hesitate for one second in referring someone to her.
Bad Experience You know how you dislike filling out those endless medical history forms the first time you see a doctor. Well, don't worry about it here--the only information they want from you is your insurance--no medical history whatsoever. Dr. Surapaneni, herself, only asked me a couple of questions.
Beware.... Surapaneni This doctor spent most of my visits talking about her mother, brother and her medical problems. When my BP was high she said it was no problem, when my blood sugar was over the safe limit, she said no problem. When I went in with swollen abdomen from something I ate she pressed around a bit and said "maybe hernia". I had told her how it was swelling as though you were pumping up a ball. She just didn't listen. Sent me home with antibiotics which were NOT needed. I found another doctor and Surapaneni won... read more
Unsatisfactory My experience with Dr. Surapaneni was negative on all counts. No written medical history, exam was rushed to get to the next patient, prescribes medication without explaining side effects, no backup doctor when she went on a trip, short-tempered front desk staff, medical record copies given with no identification on them, and a combative response when confronted. I subsequently found out that Dr. Surapaneni has been disciplined by the Texas Medical Board. Draw your own conclusions.
