A little late writing the review but my experience was totally positive. Well attended on the ground, Nice (new) equipment and they also launched my LS-4 many times for lifelong memories of balzing down the Apache Leap cliff face. This was an amazing experience. Well worth it!
Disappointing experience from an out-of-town pilot in Dec/Jan (29-05). Make sure you get a written commitment on #flight and # of flying days. I was told to expect 8 flights a day we did 5.2 in average. Even those I was scheduled, it didn't feel like a solid commitment local pilot, glider ride took precedence. We agreed on $800 for ground launch endorsement, at the end I was asked for $900 and without the ground launch endorsement. We didn’t fly 2 days for no apparent reason. Awesome experience! I am an airplane pilot and recently got my glider rating. Adding a ground launch endorsement was a blast! Being pulled up 1000 ft by a Chevy 502 engine was incredible. Frank was my instructor and did a stellar job. The first flight blew me away and by the final flight, I was comfortable with the entire launch. Frank took me through the basics in a very logical step wise process that never felt overwhelming.
