Scott overhauled the engine in Dodge Ram. The first time it used oil, had lifter noise and ran poorly. He agreed to rebuild the engine again and we now have the same results. Lifter noise, engine light on and using 1 QT. of oil every 1,000 miles. Did the engine really get rebuilt??? When starting blue smoke comes out the exhaust and the lifters clatter. In 2018 I took my 2005 V-6 Jeep Liberty with 80,000 miles and a BAD noise from connecting rods to Scott at Superior Engines in Lakewood. They diagnosed a seriously overheated engine, sometime in the past. When I picked it up they showed me the old scored cylinders. They replaced the cylinders and rings and valves and had the heads reworked and used a slightly newer, higher tech manifold. And the water pump and some other worn out stuff. Long Block Rebuild.
