New Build, after year 2 septic started backing up. Paid over 6K for “Best Septic System” specifically for the clay type soil we have in our area. After digging up the leach field there was no accommodation for the soil type. What I mean is there was no bedrock, hay, drainage type plan for this soil. It doesn’t take a Geologist or Geomorphologist(or maybe it does) to see that the soil immediately turned into clay and became hydrophobic when it rains.
