I went on May 26 to the emergency room for my period that was bleeding for three long weeks going on the 4 th week they check if I was pregnant I wasn’t and did some other test and that was normal so they let me go home say if it continues I need to see their GYN in a week so I made an appointment with them giving me June 1 st I’m still bleeding having bad cramps also I brought 4 packs it had 26 count in them and I just brought another one . Came with chest pains and trouble breathing and was seen quickly, the whole staff was so accommodating and kind. Was in and out in 4 hours which i think is very good for a place where EVERYONE is having an emergency of some kind. I was respected even beyond my expectations as a trans person (first concern for me was not dying but they made sure I was also identified correctly and respected the entire time) and I left feeling not only much better but with all the information I'll need to go forward with follow ups. This is bye far one of the WORST hospitals in the Brooklyn region (I'm surprised they're still in operation). The nursing staff here are in complete disarray and unstructured. Also, the doctors are incompetent and incapable of meeting the patients needs and the environment is toxic and disruptive. The rooms are filthy, the food here is horrible, and the staff here is subpar. I recommend receiving the appropriate care from another facility, because this one is definitely not the one.
