I worked at Sunstates security for 2 years and a few months. I got thrown in the supervisor role with no training within a few months working there after the supervisor treated me like trash and bragged about failing the drug test. I worked my butt off working this job was there more than at home with my son. I gave this job everything in me with little knowledge I self taught myself because the person that trained me was tired of training people because the turnover rate was so high. Worse place to work they don’t care about there employees they want to work in bad weather they don’t know how to communicate. They talk to their employees like they’re trash and is their way or no way.
I see why so many bad reviews now. I found out that my old supervisor was impersonating a police officer and had stolen valor. I had presented this to her and confronted her about such critical information, to which she threatened to fire me. The operations manager then decided to “terminate Me” but I informed him I had already put my two week notice in prior. cons: No room for growth. Very confusing situations where you can be put into a very challenging environment. Pros: Pay isn’t minimum, benefits, PTO, and good appearance. I have worked for this company on and off due to the security contracts not succeeding for the clients. I was able to maintain a healthy connection with said clients and remain in Sunstates even after they no longer worked for the clients.
