There is a clause in their guarantee about damage from chemicals which is used to void your guarantee. The cover part that faces the inside of the spa is made mostly out of a pvc material which is resistant to chemicals and the heat of the spa, except for the middle hinge (the part of the cover that folds in half) at both ends which is made from vinyl.
