I brought my mother to Sunshine because of an intense cough. The receptionist had us full out a slip of paper then told us to connect to Wi-Fi and complete the rest of the registration on line, which would have been difficult if I was not with my mother. Before we were started we were told the doctor would not see us because of her age and because she mentioned pain in her chest from the coughing. I LOVE this practice. Both doctors are very caring, and very easy to work with. When I cant get my kids into their pediatrician, I dont hesitate to bring them here. I had to follow up due to sensory issues for my autistic child, and they were very caring and understanding. The staff has been cordial every time we've come to visit, and the office has been very bright and welcoming. Great experience. The front desk nurse, Robin, was truly excellent. She went out of her way to navigate our out-of-state/semi-in-network insurance, including talking on the phone for an extended period of time with a BCBS agent from my state while fiercely multi-tasking to help other patients without skipping a beat. And the medical care was quick, caring, and thorough. Never fun to have a sick kid while vacationing, but the customer service we received at SunshineUC made the experience as easy as possible. The place is fairly dingy. The bathroom was locked with no occupant. Most importantly while checking in, an admin told me they couldn’t process my daughter on our insurance. They said they could see her for cash. They were telling another patient on intake something similar. We left as it felt coordinated. We went to a different urgent care with zero intake issues.

I visited Sunshine Urgent Care in 2021 with my foster child, who tested positive for strep throat. The physician recommended that I get tested as well since it’s highly contagious. Before agreeing, I specifically asked if they accepted my insurance (United Healthcare), and the staff confirmed that they did. I paid my co-pay and went through with the test.
