I met with Lily, She was very nice and took her time explaining the process to me so I could ask questions. She assured me the company takes the utmost care of our family member. If questions came up later, Lily was very kind and answered all my questions and concerns. I always felt Sunshine Cremations were very helpful and supportive during this very difficult time for me. My mother passed on a Friday evening while in hospice care, and the moment the hospital notified Sunshine that we chose their services, I received a personal call from Mr. Sunshine himself confirming that they were going to pick up my mom and take good care of her - and they did just that. Friendly service. I'm not sure why I got a decorated urn with ashes. Perhaps we asked for that, but I found it hard to know what to do with it. It is not recommended to scatter human ashes over the ground, sand, or in water unless you're three miles out to sea. Neither Karen nor I was religious but still....My father died when I was 7 and our mother told us the small box on one shelf was Daddy's ashes. I used to worry if the place was on fire, should I try to save it.
