We have stayed there in the past and it was for the most part the room was clean. That was three years ago. This time that we stayed the room in need of repair! The coat rack was falling off of the wall, the mirror in the bathroom was being held up with packing tape. We only had one light bulb above the sink. The towels smelled like cigarette smoke. The remote was gone for the TV. I do t this that we will be back. Not that anyone cares.
The Sunset Motor is a complete travesty to all hotels. Not only was the owner very opinionated and vulgar towards me, but also towards other customers. I told her that we would give her a bad review, because of her rudeness, and in her words "She doesn't f*cking care what anybody else thinks." She also had 6 or 7 cats and 3 dogs in her office. Told me one of my rooms were free because she made a mistake then when it's time to pay there wasn't a room free. Infact she charged me weekend rate on a Thursday. Then charges me for a night I wasn't even there
We absolutely loved this little place! The neon sign and the pretty landscape. And a cat even greets you when you check in. The price was right and the room was clean. Very glad we chose this over a Super 8. Cute piece of Americana. We will be back.
