I moved to Kenora from another province about 18 months ago. I am over 70. My experiences at Sunset Country Family Health and KDH have been great. The care from the nurse practitioners at both institutions has been exceptional.
Dr. Schneider just didn't call me back at all. Same so called doctor that wanted to send me home when I had what the surgeon called a massive hernia. Must be tough working with incompetence.
No wonder our health care system is in absolute shambles. On January 7 of 2026 I was seen by a Dr. Alao at that time he informed me that he was currently rostering patients. This was great as my current doctor was trying to deroster me. On Friday March 27, 2026. I received a call from my previous doctor Anne MacDonald who said she would start the deroster process and complete by end of day.
