Denied my mom entry into the cottage despite pleas from myself and staff at Sanford Worthington Hospital. Had no choice but to put her in a chronically understaffed nursing home where she died alone, covered with beds ores and wasn't found deceased for hours later. Shame on this place
My mother passed away here in March '19. End of life is just hard, no matter what the circumstances. But the good people and Sunset Cottage were always there help in anyway possible. The facility is modern, clean, and "homey". This non-profit is run by local community leaders, and is a true blessing for the city.
It has been one year since my husband stayed at Sunset Hospice Cottage. I feel so fortunate that this amazing facility was available to us. Jeff received excellent care from the staff! The facility provided a comfortable place for our family to gather and for us to be able to receive visitors. I appreciate the volunteer board members who work to make this special place available and affordable for anyone to use as they go through the end of life journey.
What a blessing to have the Hospice Cottage in Worthington - where family can share the end of life with a loved one in a home and comfortable setting - with professional care.
