The setting is beautiful, it's quiet and peaceful. Winter access shows nothing to indicate private road, no trespassing, or a lack of access. You'll know when the individual yells from their porch that you're not welcome, don't come back, and then something completely incomprehensible. Sunset cabins were the perfect setting for our family vacation to Maine. The kids had a blast swimming to the dock and paddle boarding the day away. The evenings spent watching the sunset over the lake and roasting s’mores by the fire are now some of our most cherished family memories.
The cabins are cute and rustic but we're untouched and dirty. The cabin was filled with spiders, the toilet was never cleaned, shower was filled with hair and dirt, there was a pitcher of water with algae and dead bugs in the refrigerator, and the half used bar of soap and used shower loofahs can be thrown out... Basically it looked like no one had cleaned the cabin since last season. Not worth the $300 for 2 nights.
