I submitted a BBB complaint today 4-7-2022 shown below. Our solar panels have not been reinstalled since December 2021. It is beyond disappointing. Our solar panels have just been sitting on a trex deck since December 2021. Worst, we've been paying for using the panels as if they were still installed, as well as monthly electric bills. All of the one star reviews are true. Avoid this company at all costs. I have had an open unresolved case with them for over six months. My solar system was not functioning for over 3 months. I’ve got an unresolved billing issue. I’ve called many times to resolve this, and have been placed on hold over and over and cycled through the same slew of unhelpful support techs who don’t want to resolve anything. It seems at sun run, the customer is always wrong and the end of the day they’re only there to serve themselves.
If it was possible to give a 0 star rating I would. We were conned into signing a contract with this company when they were operating under the name Vivint. The solar panels were installed but BGE wasn't notified for over a year so we ended up paying the full amount to both companies. BGE finally gave us credit. At the end of March 2021 we had to pay for removal and reinstallation of the panels to have a new roof put on. This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Every time you call in, no one seems to know what is going on. They always insist your "case manager" will call you, but no one ever does. I miss Vivint! THE SUNRUN EXPERIENCE IS AWFUL
HORRIBLE!!! This company bought out Vivent who was great with customer service and help. Not sure if this is the case but Sunrun seems a lot like a private equity firm bought it so they could strip it down and screw everybody to make as much money as possible! I had a "Critter guard" installed by them 22 month ago and a squirrel got under it and did some damage. They only warrantied it for 1 year, so they told me I had to have the nest removed before they would fix! Its a piece of stationary metal and I only get 1 year!!??? ... read more
