I had a very disappointing experience at Sunrise Ridge Resort in TN. The room was far from clean – the bathrooms were dirty, and there were insects in the room. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell of smoke throughout the space, which made our stay very uncomfortable. I had requested a crib for my toddler multiple times before and during check-in, and my request was completely ignored. A bit off the beaten path, but quiet, beautiful views of the Smokey Mountains. The resort is being renovated, but no construction noise.

We really like the resort, location and staff, so after staying in a nice 2-bedroom cottage in 2024, we returned in June 2025. We very much enjoy the resort and will return, however we hope they better maintain the rooms, as we had several issues. We stayed in a 1-bedroom accessible condo, as there were no non-handicap rooms available. The shower was a roll-in and they mounted the shower rod too high requiring us to place a towel there to catch all the water. Sunrise resort is a little dated, size is good, balcony is good. The rooms could use updating to newer kitchen, bathroom, & living area. Appliance's are good.
