We were looking for an easy lunch with the kids before heading to Playland and stumbled across Sunrise Pizzeria. It was exactly what we were looking for! They have a great variety of pizza slices to choose from. We ordered a Grandma slice, a pepperoni and sausage Grandma slice, and two regular cheese slices. OMG—the Grandma slice was one of the best I've ever had! The cheese had the perfect stretch, and the crust was buttery, flavorful, and not too thin, with just the right amount of bite. I came in and I ordered a slice of pizza and I got the license immediately because they said it’s good enough although they heated it up five minutes ago and when I got it, there’s no cross it’s very thin and super Duper soggy and then I asked them if I can get a new slice and they said no.
A Rye staple, great pizza, I've been coming here for over 25 years.
