My wife had chosen Sunrise but ultimately did not like living there. The staff were unable to truly integrate her into the community and this can be partially attributed to her relative youth. The unwelcome advances of another resident caused her no small degree of discomfort and she no longer felt safe there. That the consequences of this individuals actions were ultimately borne by the aggrieved party feels entirely unjust
Sunrise is a beautiful facility with kind caretakers. My 91 year old mother-in-law has a lovely room and fun activities to keep her busy. The management and staff has really been helpful in getting us started. I feel good that she is being taken care of and happy!
We have been very happy with the care our Mom receives at Sunrise San Mateo. The staff is very caring and capable. We especially appreciate her main team: Su, Norma, Leslia, Gisela, Steph, Alma, and Dania.

I can’t say enough good things about Sunrise of San Mateo Remembrance care! Every member of their staff truly cared for our mother’s needs, keeping family informed through FaceTime, photos, videos, and phone calls since our family was not in the area for frequently as we would have liked. The facility was clean and staff was always attentive and skilled. We would highly recommend!
