Three years ago, my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and I realized I needed to find a special place where he would be happy and well cared for. After looking at multiple facilities, I found Sunrise of San Mateo! They have a special wing dedicated for Alzheimer’s, and my husband was happy, comfortable, and engaged in activities. The staff is top notch! I am happy my husband received such love and respect at this facility, and we will never forget Sunrise’s kindness to him.
My Mother Seems to have found the fountain of Youth in her third year residency at Sunrise of San Mateo. Wonderful caring staff is making the difference.
My experience with all the nurses and support team namely Joanne and Dania has been excellent. They have been just terrific with my brother Rick Durazzo who has been here over a year now. My brother feels very comfortable with all the staff and this makes me feel I can depend on the Sunrise for all the needs my brother may have. I’m looking forward to all the support the Sunrise will be giving to my brother. I am very appreciative and again I want to thank all those at The Sunrise
Great staff! All staff provided impressive, thoughtful and kind assistance to helping a new resident and her family make an important lifestyle transition from the family home to assisted living. All inquiries answered; all calls and emailed returned; helpful advice provided. . . . and most of all, great skill in getting to know a new resident and working to suppport her in a new environment while maintaining her independence and pride.
The care team at Sunrise San Mateo has been very helpful to my mother. Her caregivers assist her with compassion and respect. In addition to the caregivers, special thanks to Joanne, Teresa, Sanjay, and Dania. They consistently approach their work with an extra warmth and kindness, which is contagious throughout the facility and spreads a welcoming atmosphere.
