Evidently. Sunrise Senior Living has the same problems nation wide as I experienced much the same at their *************** location The hype they give you never materializes. My studio apartment was the size of a closet. When the shower was turned on it emitted ***** water. Every day things such as showers did not routinely happen. The food was deplorable. My 30 days there were a nightmare which I wouldnt wish on anyone which is why I am writing this. If you have an elderly one beware.
This place is horrible I will not recommend this place to anyone. They mistreat the residents. They dont give them showers they disrespect the patients . This is a very unskilled facility that needs to be shut down .
The facility in Severna Park: horrible. My parents have been forced into this place by my sister almost 2 years ago. We have had an issue with their ringer volume being turned off. I have pleaded with them as well as my "Super Shady and manipulative little sister" to simply super glue the ringer volume so it cant be turned off. When I call Sunrise they just hang up on me no or they tell me they will go che k, but they dont . Sunrise Senior Living of Orchard Park, in Colorado was a disaster because they really don’t handle care well for anyone with needs above independent assisted living. There would be days cloths not changed, leaving clothes for a person in wheelchair to put away themselves. Not always having oxygen with a person when they left their room. Not moving things close so a person can reach in a wheelchair. On the flip side they did have incredible activity and nursing staff. Sunrise Assisted Living in Parma OH. Our loved one had the most amazing care. Spiritually, physically.. all around holistically. However when it comes to who handles finances.. DEBBIE SHOULD NOT HAVE HER JOB. You do NOT tell a grieving family who's been CHASING them for WEEKS for a refund that their call "isn't appreciated". NEITHER IS TREATING PEOPLE DISRESPECTFULLY. Most importantly, Sunrise does not offer a way online to contact the business office or telephone for the business office. If Sunrise mischarges you, there is no easy way to get it corrected. Maintenance also went downhill the past 3 years, a poorly working toilet was not repaired in over 6 months before we left. A garbage disposal was not fixed in over a month when we left. The food was not home cooking, too fancy for our tastes.

They killed my mom!She had copd stage 4 was coughing for 3 weeks !They kept treating her with different cough medicine instead of a lung infection!!We had to tell them to take a chest X-ray and they told us she had no congestive heart failure and no copd!Which wasn’t her X-ray at all since she has it for 10 years! We had to put her in hospice for 2 weeks said goodbye to her twice while she was transitioning then she rallied and came home for 6 weeks suffering with such terrible breathing she just kept getting worse and final... read more
