If you are looking for a place for your parent, look no further. Let me begin with the weeks leading up to my mom moving in. The staff at Sunrise Arlington were full time counselors to me - answering my texts well after business hours and spending long periods of time counseling me through the difficulties of transitioning my mom. It’s taken me a while to come here and write this but Sunrise took great care of my mother. She was there in 2021-2022. The staff were always very welcoming and friendly. Her room was a good size and always clean. I appreciated the atmosphere they tried to foster to make it feel more like home. The facility was secure. I used to come have dinner with her and some of the residents on week days and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time there. We also had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner there as well. Sunrise’s medical director made my father’s final illness and death a needlessly difficult and painful process for him and the family. The daily caretaking staff are great but the lack of compassion and professionalism in the medical care was shocking to me.
