Been cl3an & sober for 17 yrs now. But had a more then few trips to Sunrise House!. Learned many things there. Finally clicked for in Delaware Salvation Army. But seeds were Planted here!!!
1986 Sunrise House was my first & last rehab I thank my higher power Jesus and so grateful for this rehab. They truly cared for me and had great counseling sessions & counseling & I still till this day 39 years after still clean from narcotics & free from addiction. My favorite moment was with sister Marie she was a nun that worked there & I couldn't understand why I was getting favor from her, it was the Grace of God.. Thank you Sunrise House
My experience is from 2008 ish . I still have nightmares and flash backs from this place . I was 22 at the time first time in rehab and it was ran just like a halfway house/jail. The power went out a couple times while there and the main issue they worry about at this time was opposite sex talking they flys get certain people and act like that’s the main issue . 3 years sober this year. currently getting my CASAC and i already know everything they are teaching because of Sunrise. The best rehab experience. I met so many people that i still speak to today, including counselors/peer advocates. It says temporarily closed but i hope they reopen soon bc i believe this program works.
