I was with Dr Kucera for over 10 years and it was mostly good. I started having intermittent stomach pain in 2019. I went through multiple visits, bloodwork, ultrasounds, colonoscopies, diet changes, etc. I had a kidney stone that they saw on an ultrasound in 2022 that they said wasn't the cause of my pain. It got worse in 2025 and I went for another ultrasound where that kidney stone was now 1.3 cm. Dr. Azad is very kind and compassionate and does not dismiss valid concerns. He has referred me to specialists when needed and takes a whole person approach to medicine. The family medicine residents are very well trained and thorough! It is a joy to contribute to their training. For people complaining about feeling uncomfortable with trainees, don't go to a teaching clinic, they have to learn somehow and are open to feedback.
Dr Azad is my and my sons family dr. Last summer I was diagnosed with urticarial vasculitis, which was a diagnosis I had to pursue through other channels. When I set up an appointment to review the diagnosis with Dr Azad the student mentioned that with auto immune conditions bloodwork may be needed.
