***UPDATE TO THIS POST 1/3/2025 Sunpower did not ever reach out as they promised in the response to my post, and as expected-would not return calls. We just had a very expensive solar system installed on our home by SunPower. Check it out they have 516 ONE STAR reviews on Yelp. I wish I would have seen this before I purchased. They were extremely difficult to deal with. Customer service is horrible. They don't call you back after you purchase if you have questions. No one knows what is going on most of the time. Their network of authorized dealers proved to be of zero value recently. I hired one of their authorized partners to perform a solar detach/attach. Totally screwed up the attach and broke dozens of NEW roof tiles in the process. Buyer beware! The COMPANY might be authorized. But they subcontract the work to unskilled workers with absolutely no onsite management from the partner. That's what happened to me. Sunpower does not police activity with their partner network. We got our system installed in March of 2024, everything went smoothly with purchase and installation. Shortly after though, Sunpower sold off their entire team and outsourced their customer support/customer representatives to the Philippians. Out system has yet to go online since and we are in limbo between Sunpower and our local electric company. Our local electric company has been waiting on final paperwork from Sunpower so that they can give their approval to operate for 4 months now and we no longer have a direct repres... read more
