Our family's favorite sushi spot in El Paso!I love Sonny's Sushi on Redd Rd! This place has some of the best sushi I've had anywhere in the world. The freshness and quality are consistently outstanding. My wife and I have now worked our way through the entire menu, and everything has been excellent. Our son always gets the D28 (Sashimi & Nigiri – 8 pc Sashimi & 8 pc Nigiri) with a side of sushi rice — it's his absolute go-to and he never gets tired of it. BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!! I got the Miso Soup starter, the lunch box with filet mignon and one of those viral mango ice creams. The miso soup came out hot and was PERFECT. The actual lunch box came out VERY fast and is the best seafood I have ever had. I got a Ramune Melon Drink (japanese sodas that taste AMAZING) and a iced tea which both came out PERFECT. We had 12 people for a party. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking was reasonably easy. There is an outside patio that looked nice but we were inside.

This is definitely not a “Sunny’s sushi” and if it is, it’s definitely the forgotten child. The place is definitely out dated to begin with. The food itself isn’t like the other Sunny’s at all. The spicy edamame was not made with chili oil. Rather made with chile sauce. Huge disappointment in flavor I didn’t even finish it.
