Terribly rude and judgemental staff. This woman yelled at me at 2pm in the afternoon for being too verbally loud. This owner/ motel worker may have had no idea but my father and I just had his surfer’s ear surgery rescheduled on us last minute. I live in SF and him in Turlock. It was an incredibly difficult day trying to get my old man dad his next step in his healthcare. But this woman couldn’t care less about our story, … thanks Karen.

Review: Sunny Cove Motel – A Relaxed East Cliff Gem This is my second stay at the Sunny Cove Motel, and I’m just as pleased this time as the first. Honestly, I’m ecstatically pleased with the experience. I stayed in one of the kitchenette-style rooms, which felt almost like a little beach cabin. What a charming motel. If you're looking for something different, perhaps off the beaten path, this is a great choice. The building itself is decades old but the rooms have been renovated with great taste in mind. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We also found the inn keeper friendly. One thing I will note is that the rooms don't keep out the light very well. If you want a pitch black room, this might not be the place for you.

This place is super cute! Staff is very welcoming & friendly, and check in was quick & easy. They even allow pets for a small fee which is fun! Parking is included, my fiancé drives a Ford150 & we initially thought we wouldn’t fix, but it was perfect. Rooms were great, they air out the rooms before check in which is appreciated. I think the only reason I have it a 4/5 is mainly because my fiancé is 6’3 & we got a queen size bed (typically what we get) and there’s no way it was a queen 😂 We laid arm to arm, and I hardly slep... read more

We stayed at Sunny Cove for 6 nights and it was perfect! The owner really made us and our pup feel welcome. The room had everything we needed for our stay and we forgot how nice it is to receive fresh towels and have your bed made, something you won’t get at an Airbnb. The walk to the cove and twin lakes state beach are beautiful and this location had many shops/restaurants within walking distance. Sunny Cove will be the only place we stay when we come to visit again!
