Had a roof leak after solar was installed 6 years ago. They came out to repair it multiple times never fixed it finally they sent someone and he reported that it was not their problem. Finally I had to have them remove the panels so I could have my roof reroofed at my expense of$10,000 and made a down payment of $3800 of $4700 to remove and reinstall. Awful experience. Sunnova had a booth at our local Home Depot. I assumed Home Depot vetted the companies they work with so we sat down with a sales rep. He promised multiple months of reimbursement, delayed start to the billing cycle, and a certain price. Installed the panels. No reimbursement, no delay to the billing cycle, and a higher price than he originally quoted us. The promised reimbursement check was $1200+ by the way. If you are considering becoming a Solar customer, do everything possible to not have Sunnova Energy Corporation service your account. I have been a Solar customer for one year, and while I am pleased to be, hopefully, contributing to the environment by utilizing the power of the sun to power my home, the customer service I have received from Sunnova, has been a headache. Can't get any help, even after at least a dozen calls to customer service.
I will start this by saying I do not and would not do business with this company. My elderly mother had some guy sell her this lease before I knew about it and could stop her. Her system has not been producing since March per APS. She contacted Sunnova multiple times before someone finally came out to fix the system. They didn't fix anything.
