Never Get This Insurance They are liars and you get stuck with a bill they say "Has been Covered" then wont do anything to help....

Formulary is designed to PA (Prior Authorization) EVERYTHING. Routine colonoscopy ordered by my physician & the colonoscopy prep kit script sent to my pharmacy was stopped due to needing a PA. Of course Ambetter wants to deny everything. Totally unnecessary to ask a doctor to waist time doing a PA for this. DO NOT BUY THIS HEALTH INSURANCE.
After going an entire year with Ambetter I have to revise my original one star review and say they are ok. Probably similar to the other plans. A lot of specialists don’t take Ambetter which can be a problem but I have been able to find good specialists. They are terrible about denying initial requests for procedures/tests but as long as your doctor is willing to work with them they eventually approve. Price of Ambetter through affordable care act much lower than the other options.
Apparently, doing the opposite of what a client wants and raising their already dangerously high blood pressure is something their staff views as proper conduct Edit 11 months later, and they now canceled his insurance without any actual written notice. I'll be informing the ftc or other federal office that has authority for this nonsense.
