Not sure why but the avocado toast here wasn't anywhere near as good as the one Sunflower Gramercy.

Had brunch here this morning and the food was amazing! I got the French toast with mascarpone and it was amazing. The breakfast potatoes are phenomenal. Best vibe for fun, casual brunch with good food.

This place was definitely a bit of a mixed bag. The lattes were quite nice, but the food was disappointing. I got the eggs Benedict, and much of it was clearly prepped ahead of time. This wouldn't be the biggest deal, except, 1: the duck hadn't even been heated up (and had those obnoxious faux grill marks). 2: we were the only people in the restaurant for most of the time we were there, but our dishes took about a half hour to prepare. The food is not the best, the service was adequate but the decor is great. That being said, Sunflower Cafe is VERY expensive for what they offer which is mostly breakfast/brunch and some lunch options. While my experience here wasn't terrible it simply is not worth coming back. Sunday Dreamin (which is only 50ft or so away) serves similar food but it is MUCH better food AND at cheaper prices. I just don't see why anyone would come here if they knew Sunday Dreamin was across the street.
