My son has had his eye surgery today. Sue and Amy from the children's ward where amazing made us all feel so comfortable and at ease absolutely lovely ladys. Thank you.
An anaesthetist gave an anaesthetic I expressly said should not be given because I know it has an adverse affect on me. When I complained he firstly said he had not given the drug and then he said he had. Haygarth Nurses agreed he had given but on hearing him say he hadn't they changed their mind too. The ward Dr heard Nurses speak and was honest to go away then come back telling me the drug had been given. The following day Fiona McKinley agreed I should not have been given the drug. My Mom had her pre-op assessment here in Haygarth ward and she was so grateful to the staff there. Especially Gladys and Karen, Thank you both so much for taking such good care of my Mom. You were both so caring, informative and considerate.
