Visiting from out of town. Saw this place listed as a place with gluten free options. They were out of the gluten free pasta. And when I asked about other options and shared fryers the staff cringed and said "our gluten free more lifestyle. We can't accommodate for Celiac". We left to find another place I could eat safely. So if GF is just your choice or lifestyle maybe this is a place to go. The restaurant is cute, small, family owned. Would have stayed if I knew I could have eaten there safely.
Celebrated my mom’s 50th birthday at Sunday Gravy this past weekend and the whole experience was fantastic! Sol was so easy to communicate with leading up to the event and made planning a dinner for a party of 13 a total breeze. Throughout the night, service was spectacular and everyone really made sure we were comfortable. Listen, LA food these days is hella overrated. Everywhere is unnecessarily expensive so choose wisely. And I would choose Sunday Gravy again. I really liked this spot. Note, it’s very basic though - nothing frou frou or overly complicated on their menu. It’s straightforward Italian food but it’s executed well in a cute kitschy space with excellent service. I ordered delivery so I can’t rate atmosphere and service. However, they can pasta me ANYTIME! The limone pasta and garlic butter shrimp were divine. I’ll get extra sauce and have it at the restaurant next time.
Food was alright got bit by mosquitoes if you’re sitting outside.
