Words don't really do justice to how magical Sundance made our kayak trip down the Rogue River. Instructors were knowledgeable, kind, etc. and ensured everyone had fun (also that we felt prepared, had a learning experience, felt challenged and supported). The food was AMAZING! My son and I worked with Steve for a day at Sundance, and had a truly exceptional experience with him as our instructor. His teaching style was clear, engaging, enthusiastic, and fun, all with an underlying emphasis on safety. We had a great day. Thank you to both Steve and Sundance for wonderful, memorable time on the beautiful Rogue River.
Sundance Kayak School is absolutely fantastic! The staff are fun, professional, and make every moment on and off river super enjoyable. The Sundance crew are amazing folks. Did a modified version of their 4-day learn-how-to whitewater kayak program. They are not only great at being instructors and providing guidance, but they are good people as well. They're passionate about their craft and more importantly for the rest of us, are passionate about teaching and showing people a good time on the river.
I came to Sundance Kayak School as a complete beginner—never been in a kayak, never even on a river—and the experience blew me away. The team was amazing! They live by “challenge by choice,” which made me feel safe while still pushing myself to try new things. Every step was fun, exciting, and encouraging. The instructors are so knowledgeable, and they explain things in a way that makes sense for beginners like me. And I have to say… the Gnomeo stories are the BEST part of the river breaks.
