Disappointed with Front Yard Landscaping and Warranty Response We closed on our new Meritage home in February 2025, and during our initial walkthrough, we noticed the front yard tree was dead. We brought it to the attention of the builder representative, who incorrectly told us that Meritage does not handle landscaping issues. I won't say that I regret purchasing my home, because it is a beautiful home, but I am thoroughly unimpressed with the way our purchase was handled. The salesperson, Sam, tried to force me to give him my SSN to be approved by their internal lender despite me telling him multiple times that I was already pre-approved by the lender of my choice.
