The initial phone call was a good experience. Everyone was compassionate and took the time to answer all our questions. When the admitting nurse came to the house, she was friendly and compassionate; however, when we explained we wanted to speak with our family and will be in touch, she began to explain that we will have to start all over if they have to visit our home a second time. Both me and my mother felt that we were being backed into a corner. We ultimately went with a competitor.
Although the "hospice" experience was not as we imagined, we were blessed by 4 amazing women who guided our family and showed so much love, care, and kindness to not only my Nana but to us. To Alexus our health aid, we want you to know that you were a bright light during a very dim time. Your kindness and skill shines through so bright. Your softness and gentle caring hand lent dignity and safety to our sweet Nana.
