I have used this practice for many years and they have becoming increasingly worse. It is hard to get anyone to answer the phone. Most times I drive to the office to make an appointment. No one calls you with test results. Again, I have to drive to the office to request someone call with the results. My doctor retired in August and I was never notified. I am changing doctors to another practice in 2026.
I was hospitalized end of Nov 2025 for a week with severe diverticulitis had to be transferred to SMH because no GI Drs at Manatee now. I have been calling and leaving messages for two weeks and no one has returned any of my calls. I need to see my GI specialist now but can’t get in touch. I have been referred to new GI Dr. they called me as soon as they received my referral.
I am supposed to have a colonoscopy and one other endoscopic test the day after tomorrow (12/18/25). I made the appointment in September. They never called in the prescription for the "clean out" medication until yesterday afternoon after I called them! The pharmacy immediately texted me for confirmation of the $150 price and advised that there are several others available for far less $$. Both the pharmacy and I have been calling Sun Coast since yesterday to get an alternative medication. I have left 3 messages. No one call... read more
