We purchased our boat here and worked directly with Jim McKenzie. Jim ensured right from the start any issues that was foreseen with boat and trailer and pointed out all the problems he himself would like to be fixed before selling to anyone. He was selling the boat for another individual and did very well in facilitating our purchase. Bought a 2003 Sea Hunt 232 Triton from these guys. Boat was on consignment. Boat was listed on Facebook marketplace. Advertised as 800hrs. We came to an agreement on price. Shipped the boat 2,500 miles to San Diego. Boat gets here, first thing we do is turn it on and make sure everything works. Hour gauge on the Yamaha Digital gauge says 1,445 hours. OUCH. They sell your boat for a low commission. Very honest, veteran owned. I had a title issue and the buyer wanted to do something illegal. The owner warned me up front. Don't do that.
Mar '24 I reluctantly update this review. I've had good experiences here before. A few months ago I brought my boat in for a competent checkout after another shop failed to accomplish it, as requested. I requested the steering cable be replaced among other items to be checked. They said no replacement needed and they had thoroughly inspected and lubed it... "good to go!" I did not use it for a while. When I tried the steering was still frozen-up.
