I rented a powered stair-climbing dolly to move some heavy machinery out of a basement. I was nearby the day before, so I stopped in to see it in person. Only then was I told by the front desk staff that the machine was broken, that it wouldn't be fixed for some time, and that they had no other machines he could rent me. The guy was entirely uninterested in helping me find a solution, let alone apologizing. He just sat at his computer, giving me one-word answers. I get that machines break and stuff happens. At 11 am they closed for some unknown reason and refused to let anybody return the rental tools that they had purchased one person complained and they took his tools and told everyone else they had to wait very unprofessional
