Took my dog for a walk in the area on a Tuesday evening and ended up wandering into Sun Wah Centre, which was way more welcoming than I expected. The staff at one of the food stalls actually came out to say hi to my pup, which made my night. It was quiet at that hour, easy to stroll through without the weekend crowds, and the smell of roast duck from the BBQ counter was absolutely incredible. If you have a dog and you're in the neighborhood on a weeknight, it's a surprisingly chill stop.
This was a great experience. Being in an all inclusive space felt safe and inviting even though the project was about gender based violence, it truly was an incredible healing experience.
