Grabbed dinner at Sun Wah Centre on a random Wednesday night and ended up wandering the whole place for almost an hour. The bakery near the entrance still had fresh egg tarts out even close to closing, which felt like a nice surprise. Staff at a couple of the little shops were happy to chat and point me toward stuff I hadn't tried before, no rush at all. It's got that lived in, slightly retro mall vibe that makes for an easy, low key weeknight outing.

A mix of stores and non profits. I go there for support and income opportunities through the Single Room Occupancy Collaboration (SROC). Great organization fighting for the rights of tenants living in SROs.

Took my dog for a walk in the area on a Tuesday evening and ended up wandering into Sun Wah Centre, which was way more welcoming than I expected. The staff at one of the food stalls actually came out to say hi to my pup, which made my night. It was quiet at that hour, easy to stroll through without the weekend crowds, and the smell of roast duck from the BBQ counter was absolutely incredible. If you have a dog and you're in the neighborhood on a weeknight, it's a surprisingly chill stop.

This was a great experience. Being in an all inclusive space felt safe and inviting even though the project was about gender based violence, it truly was an incredible healing experience.
