We ordered four sky light from this company and two for them are leaking and one has two cracks in them. Sky Tec will not stand behind their product. They won’t return your calls. They tried to say they leak because of an attic which we don’t have. You can’t get anyone from the company to even come out and look at them. So much for their 10 year warranty. Our sky light are holding water in between the glass with is suppose to be sealed from the factory. Do not order from this company. They don’t stand behind their product
The "self-flashing" skylight leaks very badly, and it's not the fault of the contractor. It's the skylight! Now I'm trying to just have it removed. It has caused damage inside my home. I wish that I had read the bad reviews before I purchased it- warning people not to buy them because of the leaks!
We ordered 2 skylights and their Solar quad spider light kit ($998); first off no one installs these which was never disclosed to us by Suntek. One of the new traditional skylights had a defect in the glass and the replacement they installed had a bad internal seal which damaged our drywall. They replaced again and now fine. Kim sent us some solar tubes to compensate for the $1200 in damage to our drywall but again no one will install these? All in all I would avoid this brand. Ordered 3 sky lights in New Mexico. Shipped from here but received 2 of 3 products. 3rd was reported damaged and returned to sun Tek. 2nd one shipped was lost in transit. Was cancelled and reordered. 3rd one made it to it's destination but immediately put back on a truck to be shipped back to it's sender. Been ongoing with emails and no one is taking responsibility but pushing blame on ups shipping. I would not recommend this manufacturer if you are a building contractor as this company seems to not care about it's customers... read more
