Dirty, Broken Furniture, Ceiling Leaks, Musty Smell, Cockroaches On arrival, the place was filthy and not maintained. It was infested with cockroaches, floors and decks were sandy and littered with dead bugs and cigarette butts, kitchen drawers were full of crumbs, live worms and roach droppings, the stove hood was greasy and used coffee grinds sat in the coffee maker. Horrible rental company. Had to go to NC Board of Realtors, file a complaint, allow an ombudsman to negotiate and get us $635.30 of a refund for us. The actual home owner wanted us to pay for the microwave that broke on the first use. The owner and Sun Realty are slum lords for sure. DO NOT rent from Sun Realty. The pictures are pretty on the website but that’s not what you get.

We stayed at 627 Sea Oats Ct, Corolla NC -Blue Sky the week of 9/4-9/11. We arrived at 6pm. Had a text message the house was ready at 3. The house was so nasty when we arrived that we had to go to Harris Teeter and get cleaning supplies to clean before we could even stand it. The refrigerator was filthy. the kitchen floor sticky, it had not been vaccumed or the bathrooms cleaned just to name a few things. The last persons dirty linens were right beside the door. Terrible experience. The house we rented was filthy and we were very uncomfortable the entire week. Sun Realty agreed to a $350 cleaning fee reimbursement. We had spent $5,800. It’s a shame that such a nice house is ruined by poor upkeep and virtually no cleaning. Sun Realty refused to reimburse even a fraction of our cost. Use some else!
