Dirty, Broken Furniture, Ceiling Leaks, Musty Smell, Cockroaches On arrival, the place was filthy and not maintained. It was infested with cockroaches, floors and decks were sandy and littered with dead bugs and cigarette butts, kitchen drawers were full of crumbs, live worms and roach droppings, the stove hood was greasy and used coffee grinds sat in the coffee maker. Horrible rental company. Had to go to NC Board of Realtors, file a complaint, allow an ombudsman to negotiate and get us $635.30 of a refund for us. The actual home owner wanted us to pay for the microwave that broke on the first use. The owner and Sun Realty are slum lords for sure. DO NOT rent from Sun Realty. The pictures are pretty on the website but that’s not what you get.
Terrible experience. The house we rented was filthy and we were very uncomfortable the entire week. Sun Realty agreed to a $350 cleaning fee reimbursement. We had spent $5,800. It’s a shame that such a nice house is ruined by poor upkeep and virtually no cleaning. Sun Realty refused to reimburse even a fraction of our cost. Use some else!
