Great Oven. This is my 3rd one. Love them all. The quality of the products provided by Sun Ovens International Inc is definitely superb overall. I have no negative experience whatsoever.
The case is remarkably durable and tough. I've had it rolling around in the bottom of a cabin cruiser. It's probably best used on land or on a large houseboat...

We purchased our SunOven for emergency use since we live on the end of miles of rural electric. But we sure wanted to try it out before the emergency, What great Baked Chickens this Oven does. Our neighbor bakes a lot of bread so wanted to try out the SunOven. It bakes bread just like her gas oven. Just remember to start early enough to get the most direct sun possible and occasionally re aim the oven. You can run out of sun before the bread is done.
I have used my oven and it is so wonderful...we love using it, the most problem is I forget to use it sometimes. I love to go over and smell what is cooking in the oven when I get home from work!!! It always smells wonderful! Cooks great! I have so much more to cook in it. We have taken it with us for a day at the beach and had a great meal in the evening!!
Prepared my oven for cooking by the oven instructions. Tried a pretzel brownie mix as my first test. It was sunny when I started the process, but 10 min into cooking time, cloud cover came over and temperature dropped to 200 degrees F. I just left it alone and when the cloud cover moved, the oven quickly went to 320 degrees F. Took a bit longer to cook the brownies, but who cares, the power is free!
