The staff is very friendly and helpful in understanding all that is involved in the commitment to buy or lease solar power. During the initial survey and the actual installation and connecting they continue to explain what is done and why.
I'm on my fourth project with SL&P and I have to say that they are one of the very best contracting companies I have worked with. They are very thorough and attentive to detail. The workmanship has been outstanding. The contracts have been very clear regarding payment and everything has been above board. Also they work well with the county and PG&E permitting processes. All of that has been transparent to me.
Here are my criteria for choosing a solar vendor: Long-lived company: ✅ Competitive pricing: ✅ (similar to another bid we got, and in line with local data) Good communication: ✅ (no BS, ever -- plus, if I wasn't talking to the expert on a given issue, they regularly phoned in the actual expert) Concerned with safety: ✅ (took my concerns of our fire zone risk seriously and checked with appropriate authorities) Able to solve more esoteric installation challenges: ✅ (eager, not just able!)
This team is very thorough and detail oriented - as you want when having something installed on your house that is supposed to function for over 25 years. They have been around a long time and will be here when you need them. Great people and responsiveness.
