I wish I could give 0 stars. I paid sunlife insurance for years via employer - STD, LTD, and Life. I received approval for STD, but when it was time to approve to for LTD , they denied me, saying the last time I worked “wasn’t a full day”. Trying to find anything. Luckily I’m approved for SSDI. I’m glad I found out with LTD cause if I died during, they probably would’ve found a way to not pay life insurance.
This company is garbage. Our hospital switched to sunlife for disability/paid family leave claims and they were just awful. No direct lines to your claims examiner. Payment delays. Inconsistent communication. They even miscalculated the amount that my disability payment should be. Just awful
I had cancer and now I have a child and I received no money within two months of both things happening
