The experience i had with this hospital is one i hope no family ever has to go through. This has taken a lot for me to actually write because it was truly the worst time of my life. My dad was brought in by his nursing home due to agitation (he has Alzheimer’s) and the fact that the nursing home gave him a medication in which he had a previous paradoxical reaction too. Upon him arriving, the emergency room gave him the SAME medication because they didn’t read the chart. When ... Continue Reading

I’m not sure where to start. The ED nurse that brought my medication prior to admission and telling me I didn’t need it, so it wasn’t administered. Many of the doctors I saw on 2300 were difficult to understand, obtuse, and in far too much of a hurry for a cardiac floor. I was never told that a nausea medicine was a PRN by any member of staff, so I just vomited everything I tried to eat. Maybe a blessing because fourteen hours went by without any food or water. I understand I’m in a hospital and they are going to take my vit... read more

I brought my fiance to the ER because she had a gout flare up in her knee which she was at the ER for the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I sat in my car (can't be with her because of COVID) until 3am when she called me and said they were keeping her there. She is Filipina and had a stroke a couple of months ago which makes it hard for her to understand everything the nurses are telling her. the nurse called me at 4:30am with questions about the meds she takes and info about her knee because my fiance couldn't elaborate. t... read more

Have had two cataract surgeries in the past two weeks, and give high marks to UMMC staff from the front desk to surgical and support staff, to the great RNs and Dr. Eric Wu, who performed the surgery. It takes a team of caring professionals who truly work together to create a positive patient experience, and I thank you all for that. The RRH clinic where I had the required Covid testing done was a puzzle. Both times I was not contacted until late in the week only to be told there were no open appointments at Batavia. Both ti... read more
