If I could give it a 0 I would. I worked here for approximately 3 months and I would recommend keeping your children from this facility. In my experience, they vouch for running off of the model “Love and Logic” however they actually do the exact opposite. Often times, staff were rude and unaccommodating to the simplest of requests from the residents, then when residents attempted to stick up for themselves and assert their rights, they were punished by having an extreme amount of points taken / getting “grounded”. Honestly if i could give them a zero i would! They tell you they are teaching you how to be in the real world but that never was the case they brainwashed you and made you feel like your problems weren’t your problem and made you feel so little about everything! They lied and made up stories to save there butts on things i was in there over 7 years ago today and i can finally say i just now got back on track with my life i struggle with being outside and being around people can’t hold a full time job cause i am so scared cau... read more

I am rating summit oaks a firm 1 out of 5 stars and honestly wish I could give zero. As someone who is finally unlearning the brainwashing that goes on in “treatment facilities” for teens is held to no “standard”. I luckily was not there for all to long before my parents learned that I was not receiving the “help” they promised. In a parents eyes we were supposed to have 1 on 1 weekly therapy with our therapists. In my 6ish months at summit oaks I meet with a therapist 1 on 1 three times in my stay with 2 different therapist... read more
