We did not stay at the Lodge and chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner. The location is great and the views are wonderful. Dining room and deck are very nice and comfortable. Server was pleasant and attentive. We ordered and it took 45 minutes to get our food. Food was mediocre at best. Steak was ordered medium rare but was basically well done, chicken Marsala bland, 4 little slices of zucchini were the vegetable, potatoes were pasty. We only ate here. They were a bit off-putting when they implied they would try to find us a table without a reservation, as we were the only car in the lot! (Two more couples later appeared for a place that could easily seat 50.) Other than that, the service was obsequious. The mashed potatoes were tasty but over-blended, making them starchy.
