I have a family member that did everything that they was supposed to do. But they gave legal custody to the foster mom. The family member works does not have a criminal back ground. The foster mom told lies on the family member and this was not investigated until after the fact. State said that they offered more time to the family member for the child but they never offered overnight visitation. I have had to deal with SCCS twice and have not been impressed. And they weren't my children I was trying to help a relative. Both times I was lied to and the case workers were not impartial. They would set a goal when it was reached they change it. They would complain that something they wanted done to the house ( nothing that really had to be except in their minds) wasn't done. I’ve tried to call about abandonment and neglect of other children in the past. I get a very nasty attitude from who ever answers the phone and they refuse to even do a well check. However, when ever someone reports me the case is investigated deeply, and I always pass the first visit, and that becomes the last visit because people keep lying on me. But when I report literal abandonment and abuse, with proof they come up with every EXUSE on why a child may have been hurt or left by their parents for months at a time… this pl... read more

I'm just not happy with those people at all. They don't prioritize their cases at all and you call and call and call on abuse and they don't come or if they do they don't do the job right.
