BEWARE of this company! While travelling from out of state my wife had a medical issue that resulted in her being transported from urgent care to the hospital which was 11 miles away. I received the bill after Anthem BCBS paid and I was shocked. The charges are over the top excessive!! They are absolutely taking advantage of out of town people. $1445 for an 11 mile ride? That is ridiculous. Watch out for balance billing if you use this company. Very dishonest and unethical in my opinion.

Not covered by BCBS! As an ambulance service they should have the decency to get with you while you're hurt and let you know if your insurance covers you for their services or not! It shows not only their ethics but also character, or lack thereof.
If you have out-of-state BCBS health insurance, watch out. This ambulance service bills 4x the BCBS reimbursement rate ($1225 flat fee + $24 PER MILE) and will send the balance to collections. My 8 month old daughter's Christmas Eve ride to Colorado Children's Hospital from Keystone cost $3,325. BCBS of Nebraska paid $792 and the rest was dumped onto me.
