This is an outstanding design-build contractor. Not only do they do excellent work, but the company quietly invests time and money in their community, helping low-income neighborhoods get stronger. I like doing business with companies that care more about people than their bottom line. Every person I encountered at Summit, in both their Akron and Columbus offices was kind, well informed and eager to help. Great dedication and integrity combined with excellent services!
Students / potential interns / co-ops do not work here! As a student majoring in construction management trying to change over from the field to the management side of things, I found out about summits project engineer co-op opportunity and was interested. On the surface it seemed like the best opportunity compared to my other offers because they promised teaching me multiple facets of management and at first wasn't too bad, but after about 3 weeks in the office doing takeoffs and other office tasks.
