Beware of this comapany! My experience with Summers-Taylor Inc. was unacceptable. While driving on the interstate a wrek and a half ago, rocks came flying out of one of their trucks bed around the seal, shattering my windshield. I had video, photos, eyewitnesses, and the truck’s ID number, and submitted an incident report within the hour after calling but never heard back. If you are going to be hit by a dump truck or concrete truck running a red light in the Tri Cities chances are pretty high it will be a Summers and Taylor truck. I have witnessed far too many near misses in the last few years by drivers for this company. Today was the worst near miss ever. Kept traffic stopped for an ungodly amount of time. Finally a little old lady got out of her car and told them they couldn’t keep us stopped all day without oncoming traffic.
Wrongfully fired for not checking fluids in a loader they had never given me required OSHA training on. Putting myself, truck drivers, and guys on the ground at risk. Anytime the loader acted up. I let them know and they would send fuel guys out(their job) to check all fluids and top them off. Even if I did what I got told to do which was to keep an eye on the fluid(hydraulic fluid) and didn't get told the other fluid.
