My mother in law lived there for almost 2 years. Everyone was so nice, and she enjoyed the many activities.
I have lived at Summerfield Retirement Apartments in Tigard, OR for 1 1/2 years. They take wonderful care of us and the food is outstanding. I enjoy the activities, friendships and wonderful meals. It is a congenial place to live. It is reassuring to know transportation available when needed also. My family is much relieved to know I'm in good surroundings. Friends who visit are impressed.
I googled for "an affordable active retirement community" and found the Sunshine group and within it, Summerfield Estates. It has everything I asked for and more plus Club House with swimming pool, tennis and golf, senior seminars and line dancing. Lots of activities in both places to keep us mentally and physically active and challenged all while being served three delicious meals along with weekly housekeeping.
