I came in hunched over crying for lower abdominal pain. The staff was friendly and very quick. I had previously went to Akron city emergency department who treated me so poor and I was terrified to go back to an er to be treated the same way. Akron city discharged me without even seeing a doctor and said there is nothing we can do for you! So today I came in here expecting to be treated same way they found what was causing my pain and actually took time to listen to me. Doctor and nurses are currently standing right outside our room laughing and making fun of me that called 911 when I was on my way here because my mom passed out and was unconscious for 10 minutes.Very unprofessional and disrespectful. No empathy

First off the people I dealt with were great. It's SUMMA billing or maybe corporate policy that is bad. I was sent there by my doctor to get an ultra sound because I had a blood clot and my doctor wanted to know right away if I had any that were deep. The estimated bill I was given said I would owe zero. SUMMA is in network for my insurance. SUMMA called me about 90 days later said I needed to contact my insurance. I did and all they wanted to know was if I had other insurance. No I do not. They processed it and I owed $175.... read more
